Mulethi / Yashtimadhu
Liquorice root, sweet, woody, and named in both tongues.
Mulethi is yashtimadhu, the liquorice root many kitchens already keep. Traditionally used in Indian kitchens, often in a simple infusion. The sweetness should be the root’s own.
What we are looking for: Root that still tastes like itself, from a source we can describe.
