Amla
The Indian gooseberry, dried, tart, and familiar.
Amla is the fruit, kept so a kitchen can still taste it. Traditionally used in Indian kitchens, on its own and in triphala. We say the fruit. We do not say what it might do for you.
What we are looking for: Fruit from an orchard we can name, dried while it still tastes like amla.
An illustrative photograph. Not a True North pack. Enquire below. This page does not take payment.
Before it reaches a kitchen
- A grower we can introduce with respect.
- A harvest that tastes like its name.
- Words on the pack that match what is inside.
