The kitchen tin

Ghee

Plain ghee for the daily pot, with the milk fat spoken for plainly.

Glass bottles of oil on a wooden board

Ghee is the warm end of a dairy day, kept in a tin by the stove. It is a cooking fat. The relationship with the people who made it matters more than a louder word on the label.

We buy it as if we will meet it again at the table. Honest about the milk fat. Quiet about everything we cannot yet stand beside.

For the daily pot

One food, kept simple, so the dairy relationship can deepen before the words do. This is plain kitchen ghee.

Words we will earn

Some kitchens ask about A2, or about desi milk. Those words will appear only when the dairy is one we have stood in and can describe with care. Until then, the tin is simply ghee.

Write if your kitchen is looking for ghee. The note asks a question. It does not place an order, and it does not take payment.
